:::
History
The Plant was established in November 1945 and was originally located at No. 140, Yanping South Road, Taipei City. It took over the South Gate Police Bureau Warehouse subordinate to the Police Department of the Chief Executive's Office of Taiwan Province during the Japanese Occupation Era, which was originally named the “Police Repair Shop.” Its name was changed to “Taiwan Provincial Police Firearms and Vehicle Repair Station” in February 1951, “Taiwan Provincial Police Department Machinery Repair Factory” in July 1958, “Taiwan Provincial Government Police Department Machinery Repair Factory” in July 1988, and “Taiwan Provincial Government Police Office Machinery Repair Factory” in August 1997. Due to the change from provincial to the central government, its latest full title was renamed to “Police Equipment Maintenance Plant, National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior” on July 1, 1999. The Plant is responsible for the weapons and equipment, vehicles, and ammunition maintenance and warehousing operations for all police agencies nationwide. Standard operating procedures such as safety management have been formulated for all operation activities in order to standardize all procedures and achieve the objective of work safety first and zero defect. The goal is to continue to improve maintenance technology and safety management efficiency, and effectively support police services to ensure successful execution of police missions.
